Intend to plant and reap a harvest in 3 years. Asparagus need well-drained nutrient rich soil. Plant in full sun and mark its planting location as it will die back and can be visually lost in the garden by late summer.
Purple Passion: is known for being 20% sweeter than regular asparagus and the colour will fade when cooked. Flavour is known to be mildly nutty.
Sweet Purple: Sweet and less fibrous. This is best if you like to eat them raw.
